2115424 9303762 PCTABS00020 The present invention provides novel compositions and methods for increasing immune responsiveness, in particular T-cell responsiveness in patients with an immunodeficiency, particularly in T-cell function. The present invention is particularly useful for increasing responsiveness of helper T-cells. The method of the present invention comprises administering to a patient a protein selected from the group consisting of TraT, OmpA, OmpF and parts thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Preferably, at least one other antigen is administered. The present invention should be particularly useful in the treatment of HIV positive patients.
