IMPACT ABSORBING VEHICLE COUPLING SYSTEM Abstract of the Disclosure A coupling carried by a vehicle in a position for use in tandem pulling of vehicles. The coupling comprises a hook arrangement having a hook portion for coupling the pulling force and a beam portion for facilitating engagement of the tow bar of the other vehicle with the hook portion. The hook arrangement is connected to a vehicle by tensile supports and compression supports, each secured to the vehicle at one end and to the beam portion of the hook arrangement at the other for transmitting the pulling force coupled through the hook portion to the vehicle.
