The invention relates to an impact-attenuating device (1) connected to a vehicle (2), especially a lorry. The impact attenuator (1) comprises a front part (3), an attenuating part (4), a rear part (5), and an extension device (6). The front part (3) is connected to the vehicle (2) in order to, during a collision into the impact attenuator; transfer the forces from the attenuator to the vehicle. The front part (3) comprises two wheels (31), with a pivot function, suspension (32), and a traffic routing board (9). Between the front part (2) and the attenuating part (4) is the extension device (6) arranged. The extension device (6) has a transport position and an operation position. In the transport position the extension device (6) is in its extended position and the attenuating device (4) is moved away from the front part (3). The extension device (6) is connected to the attenuating device (4) via a horizontal joint (63). In the transport position the extension device is hanging freely between the rear part (5) and the front part (3).
La présente invention se rapporte à un dispositif d'atténuation des chocs (1) raccordé à un véhicule (2), notamment à un camion. L'atténuateur de chocs (1) comporte une partie avant (3), une partie d'atténuation (4), une partie arrière (5) et un dispositif d'extension (6). La partie avant (3) est raccordée au véhicule (2) de manière à permettre, lors d'une collision avec l'atténuateur de chocs, le transfert des forces de l'atténuateur vers le véhicule. La partie avant (3) comporte deux roues (31), dotées d'une fonction de pivotement, une suspension (32) et un porte-étiquette d'acheminement du trafic (9). Le dispositif d'extension (6) est disposé entre la partie avant (2) et la partie d'atténuation (4). Ce dispositif d'extension (6) possède une position de transport et une position de fonctionnement. Dans la position de transport, le dispositif d'extension (6) se trouve dans sa position d'extension et le dispositif d'atténuation (4) est écarté de la partie avant (3). Le dispositif d'extension (6) est raccordé au dispositif d'atténuation (4) par l'intermédiaire d'un joint horizontal (63). Dans la position de transport, le dispositif d'extension est suspendu librement entre la partie arrière (5) et la partie avant (3).
