A biopsy instrument comprises a canula slidingly disposed in a finger tube having a finger at its distal end. By forward displacement of the finger tube relative to the canula the finger is inserted into an opening in the canula wall near its cutting front edge. Thereby a piece of tissue located inside the canula is severed from living tisue. The instrument has a steel spring compressed against a force of at least 35 N for displacing the canula and the finger tube in the tissue cutting step. The stopper on which the moving canula impacts includes an element of an impact damping design. The impact damping element is made of high impact grade ABS-polymer or a polymer with similar physical properties. It can be used also with known biopsy instruments having a moving canula and/or stylet driven by powerful spring means. Also is described a loading assembly for a biopsy apparatus incorporating the biopsy instrument.
L'invention concerne un instrument de biopsie comprenant une canule placée coulissante dans un tube à doigt équipé d'un doigt à son extrémité distale. En déplaçant ce tube vers l'avant par rapport à la canule, on introduit le doigt du tube dans une ouverture de la paroi de la canule, près de son tranchant frontal, moyennant quoi il est possible de détacher du tissu vivant un élément de tissu placé dans la canule. L'instrument est équipé d'un ressort en acier comprimé contre une force d'au moins 35 N, de manière à déplacer la canule et le tube jusqu'à la position de découpe de tissu. L'arrêtoir sur lequel bute la canule en déplacement comprend un élément limiteur d'impact, qui est en polymère ABS à grande résistance contre l'impact ou en polymère ayant des propriétés physiques similaires. On peut utiliser ce système avec les instruments de biopsie existants équipés d'une canule mobile et/ou d'un stylet entraîné par un ressort puissant. L'invention concerne également un ensemble chargeur pour appareil de biopsie incorporant l'instrument de biopsie considéré.
