An impact modified syndiotactic vinylaromatic polymer comprises: A) from 25 to 90 parts by weight of a syndiotactic, vinylaromatic thermoplastic resin, B) from 1 to 50 parts by weight of a rubbery, impact absorbing damain forming polymer, having a melt flow rate, Condition X (315°C, 5.0 Kg) from 0 to 0.5 g/10 min, C) from 0.1 to 30 parts by weight of a nucleator for the syndiotactic, vinylaromatic thermoplastic resin, D) from 0 to 90 parts by weight of a reinforcing agent, and E) from 0 to 90 parts by weight of a polyarylene ether or polar group modified polyarylene ether.
