The present invention is specifically directed to improved polyvinyl chloride compositions having excellent impact strength. In particular, the impact resistant composition comprises a vinyl chloride polymer and 2-8 parts of an impact modifier composition comprising at least one ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer and at least one chlorinated olefin polymer per 100 parts of the vinyl chloride polymer. Preferably the impact modifier composition comprises less than 1 part of the ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer and the ratio of said copolymer to the total modifier composition is less than 25%.

La présente invention concerne de manière spécifique des compositions de polychlorure de vinyle améliorées, qui présentent une très bonne résistance aux chocs. Cette composition résistante aux chocs comprend notamment un polymère de chlorure de vinyle et 2-8 parties d'une composition d'agent antichoc comprenant au moins un copolymère éthylène/alpha-oléfine et au moins un polymère d'oléfine chloré pour 100 parties de polymère de chlorure de vinyle. Ladite composition d'agent antichoc comprend de préférence moins d'une partie du copolymère éthylène/alpha-oléfine et le rapport de ce copolymère sur la composition d'agent antichoc totale est inférieur à 25 %.
