A wire-insertion and/or cutting tool comprises a handle having an axial bore, including a wire-insertion and cutting blade assembly holder. A wire-insertion and/or cutting blade assembly is inserted into the holder in a selected one of a plurality of blade assembly insertion orientations. The blade assembly includes a wire-insertion and/or cutting blade, that is configured to engage a wire to be inserted into a terminal block, and is operative to either seat, or to both seat and cut the wire in accordance with the selected blade assembly configuration and its insertion orientation. The blade assembly may include a rotatable cutting blade, and the holder configured to rotate the cutting blade and cut a wire engaged for a first insertion orientation of the blade relative to the holder, but to prevent the cutting blade from rotating for a second insertion orientation of the blade assembly relative to the holder. The handle may also include a spring-loaded, axially translatable, impact hammer mechanism.
L'invention concerne un outil de coupe et/ou d'insertion de câble, comprenant une poignée pourvue d'un alésage axial, ainsi qu'un support pour ensemble insertion de câble et pour ensemble lame de coupe. Un ensemble lame de coupe et/ou insertion de câble est inséré dans ledit support selon une orientation choisie parmi plusieurs orientations possibles pour insérer un ensemble lame. Cet ensemble lame comprend une lame de coupe et/ou d'insertion de câble, configurée de manière à entrer en contact avec un câble destiné à être inséré dans un bornier, et qui permet soit de disposer le fil, soit de le disposer puis de le couper, conformément à la configuration de l'ensemble lame et à son orientation. L'ensemble lame peut également comporter une lame de coupe rotative, le support étant configuré de manière à faire pivoter cette lame pour couper un câble introduit selon une première orientation d'insertion de la lame par rapport au support, mais de manière à empêcher la lame de coupe de tourner selon une seconde orientation d'insertion de l'ensemble lame par rapport audit support. La poignée peut également comprendre un mécanisme à percussion à déplacement axial soumis à l'action d'un ressort.
