The present invention relates to a pump impeller (12) of a centrifugal or half axial type to be used in a pump for pumping liquids, wherein the impeller is arranged with one or several vanes (18), that the vanes are attached to cover discs (12, 16) on each side, forming a so called closed impeller wheel, characterized in that the leading edges (40) of the vanes are swept backwards at the inlet opening (42) in one of the cover discs (16) of the impeller.

La présente invention décrit une roue de pompe (12) de type centrifuge ou demi-axial destinée à être utilisée dans une pompe pour pomper des liquides. La roue est agencée avec une ou plusieurs aubes (18), les aubes étant attachées à des disques de couverture (12, 16) de chaque côté, formant une toue centrifuge dite fermée, caractérisée en ce que les bords d~attaque (40) des aubes sont courbées vers l~arrière au niveau de l~ouverture d~entrée (42) dans un des disques de couverture (16) de la roue.
