IMPLANT WITH RESORBABLE STEM ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a biodegradable an- chor for a permanent implant of a bone joint, e.g. hip, shoulder, knee or finger. The biodegradable anchor is an elongated member which has an exterior surface which tightly engages a cavity in the bone and is substantially immovable within the cavity upon implant. A non-resorb- able means of securing the anchor to the permanent im- plant is also included.
