A septumless implantable access device (10) suitable for delivering a liquid medication to a site remote from the site of device implantation is disclosed, which contains a filter assembly (20) for removing particulate material from fluid injected into the device. The filter assembly of the invention contains a first reservoir chamber (30) having cutouts, recesses, and/or sharp corners in which particulate material may be trapped, and additionally having a first wall (25) forming a filter barrier capable of 360· of fluid flow therethrough. The implantable access device may also include an infusion pump apparatus coupled to the access device.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif d'accès implantable (10) sans septum permettant l'apport d'un médicament liquide en un site éloigné du site d'implantation dudit dispositif. Ce dispositif contient un ensemble filtre (20) conçu pour extraire les matières particulaires du fluide injecté dans ledit dispositif. L'ensemble filtre de cette invention comprend une première chambre réservoir (30) présentant des découpes, des évidements et/ou des angles aigus qui peuvent piéger une matière particulaire, et ayant en outre une première paroi (25) constituant une barrière filtre qui assure une circulation à 360· du fluide la traversant. Ce dispositif d'accès implantable peut aussi comporter un appareillage de pompe à perfusion (110) couplé audit dispositif d'accès.
