An implantable endocardial lead (10) with a retractable helix (48). A specialized stylet (50) can be inserted into the lead (10) at the proximal end and passed through the lead to the distal end. Located at the distal end of the lead is a piston (44) supporting the helix (48). The piston is attached to a coiled trifilar conductor (22) and has an electrode (14) adjacent the helix. Immediately adjacent the piston proximally an additional first short coil of wire is interlocked between the wires of the trifilar conductor (22), providing a female thread within the conductor. The stylet has a second single strand short coil segment spot welded to the stylet adjacent a distal end therof. The stylet (50) is rotated to screw the second short coil segment on the stylet into the first short coil adjacent the piston.
Un conducteur (10) endocardiaque implantable est pourvu d'une hélice rétractable (48). Un stylet adapté (50) peut être inséré dans le conducteur (10) au niveau de l'extrémité proximale et enfoncé dans le conducteur jusqu'à l'extrémité distale. Un piston (44) supportant l'hélice (48) est placé au niveau de l'extrémité distale du conducteur. Le piston est fixé à un enroulement trifilaire (22) et comporte une électrode adjacente à l'hélice (14). Tout à côté du piston, un premier enroulement court supplémentaire est bloqué entre les fils de l'enroulement trifilaire (22), formant un filetage femelle dans l'enroulement trifilaire. Un second segment d'enroulement court à un brin est soudé par point au stylet, à proximité de l'extrémité distale de celui-ci. On fait tourner le stylet (50) afin de faire entrer le second segment de son enroulement court dans le premier enroulement court, à proximité du piston.
