Disclosed is an ambulatory system for monitoring one or more physiological parameters in a body lumen such as the esophagus (30). The system includes an implanted probe (18) having a sensor for the physiological parameter (110), and a transmitter (112) for transmitting data to an external receiver (32). The probe (18) may be used for monitoring any of various physiological parameters, including pH, temperature, and pressure within the esophagus or other body lumens. Methods and deployment catheters are also disclosed.

Cette invention concerne un système ambulatoire permettant de surveiller un ou plusieurs paramètres physiologiques dans une lumière de l'organisme telle que l'oesophage (30). Ce système se compose d'une sonde implantable (18) munie d'un détecteur étalonné pour un paramètre physiologique (110) donnée et un émetteur (112) transmettant des données à un récepteur externe (32). Cette sonde (18) doit permettre de contrôler divers paramètres physiologiques tels que pH, température et pression dans l'oesophage ou autres lumières de l'organisme. L'invention porte également sur des méthodes et des cathéters de mise en place.
