Implantable Vascular Grafts Abstract of the Disclosure Vascular grafts are provided that have an external surface which has a porous structure that is conducive to- tissue ingrowth thereinto after the vascular graft has been implanted. The vascular graft is prepared by winding an extruded fiber onto a mandrel in the presence of intermittently applied electrostatic forces. Such vascular graft may include an internal surface that was formed under the influence of the electrostatic charge, which internal surface has a porosity that is substantially less than that of said porous external surface.
