ABSTRACT The invention relates to an implement for removing weeds from paths, squares, parks, etc., which in particular have a covering of gravel; chip- pings, sand, etc. The implement has an implement carrier with at least one movable component, on which is mounted at least one tool to be brought into contact with the ground. So that the implement has a high cleaning action, whilst causing only limited damage to the ground, the tool has a shoe-like base part, which has blades on its leading edge pointing in the travel direction and on its lateral edges and with which it at least partly pene- trates the ground and that the tool performs an oscillatory movement sub- stantially directed transversely to the travel direction. The tool can be downwardly inclined in the travel direction. The base part is substan- tially plate-like and the blades are formed by the downwardly curved marg- inal areas of the base part.
