ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved fibrous laminate is formed by impregnating a paper-like material with a substantially anhydrous emulsifiable methylene diisocyanate (EMDI) and allowing the EMDI to cure at ambient or higher temperature. EMDI- impregnated laminates, such as tubes and cones show improved strength compared with prior art products and are especially resistant to water.
