ABSTRACT A longitudinally divided impression cylinder is provided with flexible printing plates for use in a rotary gravure printing machine. The cylinder is divided into cylinder parts which are centered on end flanges and each of which includes a clamping device. Each clamping device clamps the ends of a printing plate to a profiled member both radially and tangentially.
