A surfactant composition comprising: allcylarylsulfonate sur- factant system comprising at least two isomers of tlu alkylarylsui- fonate surfactant of formula (I) wherein: L is an acyclic aliphatic hydrocarbyl of from 6 to 18 carbon atoms in total; M is a ration or ration mixture and q is the valets thereof; s and b are numbers selected such that said composition is electraneutral; R' is selected from H and C1 to C3 alkyl; R" is selected from H and C1 to C3 alkyl; R"' is selected from H and C1 to C3 alkyl; any of R' and R" is non terminally attached to L and at least one of R' and R" is C1 to C3 alkyl; and A is aryl; and wherein: said alkylarylsuifonate surfactant system comprises two or more isomers with respect to positions of attachment of R', R" and A to L; in at least about 60% of said composition, A is attached to L in the position which is selected from posiths alpha- and beta- to either of the two terminal carbon atoms thereof; and wherein further said alkylarylsulfonate surfactant system has at least one (preferably both) of the following properties: said alkylarylsulfonate surfactant system a ratio of nonquaternary to quaternary carbon atoms in L of at least about 10:1 by weight, when said quaternary carbon atoms are present; and there is no more than 40 96 by weight loss as measured by Hardness Tolerance Test.
L'invention porte sur une composition de tensio-actifs comprenant un système de tensio-actifs d'alkylarylsufonate de formule (I) dans laquelle: L est un hydrocarbyle aliphatique acyclique à 6 à 18 atomes de carbone au total; M est un cation ou un mélange de cations dont q est la valence; a et b sont des nombres choisis pour que la susdite composition soit électriquement neutre; R' est choisi entre H et C1 à C3 alkyle; R'' est choisi entre H et C1 à C3 alkyle; R''' est choisi entre H et C1 à C3 alkyle; l'un de R' et R'' est lié non terminlement à L, et l'un de R' et R'' est C1 à C3 alkyle; et A est aryle. Ledit système de tensio-actifs d'alkylarylsufonate comporte deux isomères ou plus par rapport aux positions de fixation de R', R'' et A à L; dans au moins 60 % de la composition, A est fixé à L en une position choisie entre alpha et bêta à l'un des deux atomes terminaux de carbone. En outre ledit système de tensio-actifs d'alkylarylsufonate possède au moins l'une des caractérisitques suivantes: le système présente dans L un rapport pondéral d'atomes non quaternaires à quaternaires d'au moins 10:1 lorsque lesdits atomes quaternaires de carbone sont présents; et les pertes en poids mesurées au moyen du test de tolérance à la dureté ne dépassent pas 40 %.
