An aluminium foil rolling method comprising the steps of taking two strips of aluminium, bringing facing surfaces of the two strips into contact with one another and subjecting the two strips to a first pack rolling operation, thence subjecting the same two strips to a second pack rolling operation whilst maintaining the two strips in substantially the same registry as when the first pack rolling operation was carried out. Advantageously, following the first pack rolling operation, the two strips are coiled together onto a common coil in order to assist in maintaining their registry for the second pack rolling operation. In an embodiment, a release material is applied to the facing surfaces of at least one of the strips prior to bringing them together for the first pack rolling operation, and a further amount of release material, less than that applied before the first pack rolling operation, or even a zero amount, is applied between the two pack rolling operations.
L'invention concerne un procédé de laminage de feuille d'aluminium consistant à prendre deux bandes d'aluminium, à mettre en contact leurs surfaces opposées, à soumettre ces deux bandes à une première opération de laminage en paquet, puis à les soumettre à une seconde opération de laminage en paquet tout en les maintenant sensiblement dans le même registre de la même façon que lors de l'exécution de la première opération de laminage en paquet. Suite à la première opération de laminage en paquet, les deux bandes sont avantageusement enroulées sur une bobine commune afin de favoriser le maintien de leur registre pour la seconde opération de laminage en paquet. Dans un mode de réalisation, un matériau de libération est appliqué sur l'une des surfaces opposées de l'une des bandes avant de mettre lesdites bandes en contact pour effectuer la première opération de laminage en paquet, puis une quantité de matériau de libération plus petite que celle appliquée avant la première opération de laminage en paquet, ou même nulle, est appliquée entre les deux opérations de laminage en paquet.
