A process and apparatus utilizing the process of the present invention are provided to produce a fast dissolving, thermally sensitive granular product. The process employs a fluidized spray dryer (ll) having a fluidized bed (24) of granular panicles into which recycled off-sized product is fed after being agglomerated to adjust particle size. The spray dryer (ll) optionally can employ a second nozzle (22) positioned above the fluidized bed (24). The process can be employed in the production of calcium hypochlorite water sanitizing chemical wherein the chlorine is supplied from a hypochlorous acid reactor and lime hypochlorinator.

Un procédé et un appareil correspondant pour fabriquer un produit granulaire thermosensible à dissolution rapide. Le procédé emploie un séchoir à pulvérisation à lit fluidisé (11) ayant un lit fluidisé (24) de particules granulairs vers lequel est amené du produit hors cotes recyclé après avoir été aggloméré pour modifier sa granulométrie. Le séchoir à pulvérisation (11) peut éventuellement être muni d'un deuxième ajutage (22) placé au-dessus du lit fluidisé (24). Le procédé peut être utilisé pour la production d'un agent d'assainissement de l'eau à l'hyprochlorite de calcium dans lequel le chlore est fourni par un réacteur à acide hypochloreux et un appareil d'hypochlorination à la chaux.
