A balancing arrangement for a rotating member, in which a counterweight of predetermined size and weight selected to compensate for an imbalance in the rotating member is securely fastened to the rotating member by a clamp structure extending over the counterweight to tightly engage the external surfaces of the rotating member with the counterweight in a predetermined position to thereby fixedly secure the counterweight onto the external surfaces of the rotating member in said predetermined position; the clamp structure includes a clamping band having inner and outer band end portions overlapping in the installed condition of the clamp structure with connecting means for mechanically connecting the free ends of the clamping band and with means for tightening the clamping band about the rotating member whereby the connecting means is located within a circumferential area of the clamping band also containing at least part of the counterweight so that any weight of the connecting means is in effect additive to the weight of the selected counterweight; apertures are preferably provided in the clamping band for enhancing the effective value of the counterweight.
Dispositif d'équilibrage pour un élément rotatif, dans lequel on choisit un contrepoids de dimensions et de poids prédéterminés pour compenser un déséquilibre dans l'élément tournant, qui est fixé solidement à l'élément tournant par une bande d'attache passant par-dessus le contrepoids pour engager fermement les surfaces externes de l'élément tournant avec le contrepoids dans une position prédéterminée afin de bien assujettir ainsi le contrepoids sur les surfaces externes de l'élément tournant dans ladite position prédéterminée; la bande d'attache comprend une bande de fixation dont les extrémités intérieure et extérieure chevauchent (la bande d'attache étant installée) le dispositif de raccordement pour raccorder mécaniquement les extrémités libres de la bande de fixation et les dispositifs de serrage de la bande de fixation sur l'élément tournant par lesquels le dispositif de raccordement est situé à l'intérieur d'une aire périphérique de la bande de fixation contenant aussi au moins une partie du contrepoids de façon à ce que tout poids du dispositif de raccordement soit en réalité un ajout au poids du contrepoids choisi. Les orifices sont pratiqués de préférence dans la bande de fixation afin d'améliorer la valeur efficace du contrepoids.
