The invention concerns a method for producing combinatorial library of functional expression from a combinatorial library of nucleic acids belonging to a common genetic family, comprising a cloning step by recombination in yeast. The invention also concerns a method for producing functional mosaic proteins, and for analysing a functional expression combinatorial library, by determining a sequential imprint for each of the mosaic proteins of the library.
