A stent assembly comprises a second stent body and a substantially tubular first stent body defining a first lumen and containing a side branch opening. In an undeployed state, the second stent body is at least partially comprised of rings having peaks (50) and valleys (52) at least some of the valleys of adjacent rings being interconnected by connectors (37). In an expanded state, the rings of the second stent body define a second lumen opening in fluid communication with the first lumen. The second lumen has superior body vessel coverage and is flexible enough to form an oblique angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the first stent body.

La présente invention concerne un ensemble d~endoprothèses comprenant un second corps d~endoprothèse et un premier corps substantiellement tubulaire définissant une première lumière et contenant une ouverture de branche latérale. À l~état replié, le second corps d~endoprothèse est au moins partiellement composé d~anneaux comportant des crêtes (50) et des vallées (52), au moins certaines des vallées d~anneaux adjacents étant interconnectés par des connecteurs (37). À l~état détendu, les anneaux du second corps définissent une seconde ouverture de lumière en communication fluide avec la première lumière. La seconde lumière permet une couverture supérieure des vaisseaux du corps et elle est suffisamment flexible pour former un angle oblique relatif à l~axe longitudinal du premier corps d~endoprothèse.
