A cover (32) is provided for a remote terminal base, the cover (32) defines an interior cavity (44) having a mount for a 400-series card electronic module (40) therein. The cover (32) may replace a standard flat cover on a remote terminal base to facilitate the implementation of a 400-series card module. The interior cavity (44) of the cover (32) is deep enough to accommodate the card module and has a hinged intermediate door (38) to which the card module is mounted. When the door (38) is open, card guides (54) on the door receive the card module. The door is closable to sealably encase the card module within the cover.

L'invention concerne un couvercle (32) destiné à recouvrir une base de terminal à distance, le couvercle (32) définit une cavité intérieure (44) pouvant contenir un module électronique carte de type série 400 (40). Le couvercle (32) peut remplacer un couvercle plat standard se trouvant sur une base de terminal à distance afin de faciliter la mise en oeuvre d'un module carte de type série 400. La cavité intérieure (44) du couvercle (32) est assez profonde pour loger le module carte et présente un volet intermédiaire articulé (38) sur lequel le module carte est fixé. Lorsque le volet (38) est ouvert, des glissières pour carte (54) placées sur le volet reçoivent le module carte. Le volet peut être fermé de manière à enfermer hermétiquement le module carte à l'intérieur du couvercle.
