An improved insulation package for insulating objects and method of making the same are disclosed. The insulation package comprises one or more layers of insulation material closed within a loose fitting cover. The cover is easily fitted around the pieces of insulation material. The insulation package saves time and labor compared to the previous method of prefabricating individual covers for each shape of insulation material. In a preferred embodiment, the cover can be formedof any of the following: water proof materials, water resistant materials, air permeable materials and combinations thereof.
L'invention se rapporte à une enveloppe isolante améliorée (20) servant à isoler des objets et à son procédé de fabrication. L'enveloppe isolante se compose d'au moins une couche de matériau isolant renfermée dans un revêtement peu serré (22). Ce revêtement s'adapte facilement autour des blocs (24) de matériau isolant. L'enveloppe isolante permet d'économiser du temps et de la main d'oeuvre comparativement au procédé antérieur de préfabrication de revêtements individuels s'appliquant à chaque forme de matériau. Selon un mode préféré de réalisation, le revêtement peut être fabriqué dans n'importe lequel des matériaux suivants: matériaux étanches à l'eau, matériaux résistants à l'eau, matériaux perméables à l'air et des combinaisons de ceux-ci.
