A cutting tool includes a housing having a first end with a first edge and a second end. A handle extends from the second end of the housing. The housing encloses a first blade which has a cutting position and a retracted position with the blade inside the housing. An elongated finger portion is extended from the first end of the housing. The finger portion and the first edge define an elongated opening having a junction at the first end of the housing. A second blade is embedded and spans the opening and the junction. The second is shaped, sized and orientated to facilitate forward slitting of heavy plastic sheet. The first blade slides axially along a track. A biasing means repositions the first blade from the cutting position to the retracted position. The first blade makes the first opening in the packaging. The finger is then inserted into the opening and the second blade enlarges the slit to the desired length to remove the item from its packaging.
Outil de coupe qui comprend un boîtier ayant une première extrémité avec un premier bord et une seconde extrémité. Une poignée s'étend de la seconde extrémité du boîtier. Le boîtier renferme une première lame dotée d'une position de coupe et d'une position rétractée, dans laquelle la lame se rétracte à l'intérieur du boîtier. Une partie digitiforme oblongue s'étend à partir de la première extrémité du boîtier. La partie digitiforme et le premier bord définissent une ouverture oblongue dotée d'une jonction à la première extrémité du boîtier. Une seconde lame est intégrée de façon à couvrir l'ouverture et la jonction. La seconde est façonnée, dimensionnée et orientée pour faciliter la découpe vers l'avant d'épaisses feuilles en plastique. La première lame glisse axialement le long d'une voie. Un moyen de sollicitation repositionne la première lame en la faisant passer de la position de coupe à la position rétraction. La première lame crée la première ouverture dans l'emballage. Le doigt est ensuite inséré dans l'ouverture et la seconde lame agrandit la fente à la longueur désirée afin de retirer l'article de son emballage.
