A method for whitening a dental surface comprises nonsimultaneously applying a whitening composition to the surface, the whitening composition comprising at least one orally acceptable peroxy compound, and directing a volume of up to about 2.5 ml of an atomized activating composition on to the surface, wherein the activating composition comprises, in the volume so directed, a peroxy compound activating effective amount of at least one orally acceptable basifying agent, and wherein applying the whitening composition and directing the activating composition are separated by an interval not greater than a peroxy compound activating effective interval. The atomized composition can be directed on to the dental surface before or after application of the whitening composition.
L'invention concerne une méthode pour blanchir une surface dentaire. Ladite méthode consiste, de manière non simultanée, à appliquer une composition de blanchiment sur la surface, la composition de blanchiment comprenant au moins un composé peroxy oralement acceptable et à appliquer de manière ciblée un volume pouvant aller jusqu'à environ 2,5 ml d'une composition d'activation atomisée sur la surface, la composition d'activation comprenant, dans le volume ainsi appliqué de manière ciblée, une quantité efficace d'activation de composé peroxy d'au moins un agent basifiant oralement acceptable, l'application de la composition de blanchiment et l'application ciblée de la composition d'activation étant séparées par un intervalle non supérieur à un intervalle efficace d'activation de composé peroxy. La composition atomisée peut être appliquée de manière ciblée sur la surface dentaire avant ou après application de la composition de blanchiment.
