The invention relates to the inclusion of lubricants which afford lubrication in drilling fluids in which lubricant compatibility and/or performance may be adversely affected by other components of the drilling fluid, particularly divalent cations such as calcium, formate salts or highly alkaline components such as alkali silicate. In this respect the invention is to a drilling fluid having an aqueous brine phase which includes at least one of: a) dissolved calcium, usually as Ca2+ ions, particularly at a concentration of at least 0.1 molar, b) dissolved formate, usually as a potassium or, and particularly, caesium salt, (caesium formate), and particularly at a concentration of at least 0.5 molar; c) dissolved silicate, usually provided as alkali metal, especially sodium, silicate, particularly at a concentration of at least 0.4 molar; or d) brine salts at a concentration of at least 90% by weight of the concentration at saturation; aid further including at least one polyalkylene glycol and a lubricating agent which comprises at least one hydrocarbyl polyether phosphate.
L'invention concerne l'inclusion de lubrifiants dans des liquides de forage dans lesquels la compatibilité et/ou les capacités du lubrifiant peuvent subir un effet négatif provoqué par d'autres constituants du liquide de forage, en particulier, des cations divalents, tels que calcium, des sels formate ou des constituants extrêmement alcalins, tels que silicate alcalin. De ce fait, l'invention concerne un liquide de forage possédant une phase de saumure aqueuse comprenant au moins un : a) calcium dissous, habituellement sous forme d'ions Ca?2+¿, en particulier, à une concentration d'au moins 0,1 molaire, b) formate dissous, habituellement sous forme de potassium ou, en particulier, de sel de césium (formate de césium) et, en particulier, à une concentration d'au moins 0,5 molaire ; c) silicate dissous, habituellement sous forme de métal alcalin, en particulier, sodium, silicate, en particulier à une concentration d'au moins 0,4 molaire ; ou d) des sels de saumure à une concentration d'au moins 90 % en poids de la concentration à saturation ; ladite phase de saumure aqueuse contenant également au moins un polyalkylène glycol et un agent lubrifiant contenant au moins un phosphate d'hydrocarbyle polyéther.
