This invention provides an apparatus for removing a plug from an electrical receptacle. It has a planar face portion between the housing and the receptacle, with prongs from the plug projecting through openings in the face portion. A single planar extraction portion is positioned away from the receptacle and away from the cord, and extends outwards to form a single planar loop. Pulling the loop away from the receptacle removes the plug from the receptacle. The invention provides kits having plug pullers that are color coded to reflect the function of the equipment, or its location when in use. The device can be used to enhance safety and access around electrical outlets, and to organize and manage any number of electrically powered items plugged into neighboring power supply outlets.
