A visor shield for use in combination with a hard hat by forestry workers. This device consists of a crescent-shaped shield (25), a visor (30), a webbing strap (26) and a fastening apparatus. It is attached at its edges to a hard hat. The space between the visor and the hard hat is covered by a webbing strap, which attaches to the visor by a webbing strap on one side and an elastic band (27) on the other. There is a rigid attachment between the visor and the shield which prevents either from shifting relative to the other. Perforations in the visor permit air to circulate, and the shield is long and oriented at a 90-degree angle to eliminate reflections.
