On décrit des agglomérés de faujasite X de rapport Si/Al = 1 dont, d'une part le liant inerte a été transformé en zéolite active par zéolitisation dans une liqueur alcaline, et qui ont été d'autre part soumis à un échange lithique poussé. Ces adsorbants développent une capacité d'adsorption d'azote (1 bar/25°C) d'au moins 26 cm3/g, ce qui en fait d'excellents adsorbants pour la séparation non cryogénique des gaz de l'air ainsi que pour la purification de l'hydrogène.
