An improved fluidized coking process wherein an effective amount of a basic material, preferably an alkali or alkaline-earth metal-containing compound, is added to the coking zone to mitigate agglomeration of the coke during the coking of a heavy hydrocarbonaceous feedstock to produce lower boiling products.
Procédé amélioré de cokéfaction à lit fluidisé dans lequel une quantité efficace d'un matériau basique, de préférence un composé contenant un métal alcalin ou un métal alcalino-terreux, est ajoutée à la zone de cokéfaction pour limiter l'agglomération du coke durant la cokéfaction d'une charge hydrocarbonée importante de manière à générer des produits à point d'ébullition inférieur.
