An improved geared hydraulic apparatus, comprising a pair of meshing gearwheels, mounted to be reciprocally rotatable in a casing between an inlet side and an outlet side for a fluid having, in use, a substantially transverse flow with respect to the axes of rotation of the gearwheels. The meshing gearwheels create, during their reciprocal rotation, progressive meshing configurations between respective co- operating teeth. In at least one of said progressive meshing configurations is defined, in at least one cross- section of the gearwheels, at least one closed area between respective fluid entrapment teeth. The closed area decreases until it is substantially cancelled out at and around at least one other, separate progressive meshing configuration between the aforesaid respective co-operating teeth.

L'invention concerne un appareil hydraulique amélioré à engrenage, comprenant une paire d'engrenages qui s'engrènent et sont montés pour pouvoir tourner de façon réciproque dans un boîtier entre un côté entrée et un côté sortie d'un fluide dont l'écoulement, en utilisation, est sensiblement transversal par rapport aux axes de rotation des engrenages. Pendant leur rotation réciproque, les engrenages qui s'engrènent créent des configurations d'engrènement progressives entre des dents coopérantes respectives. Dans au moins l'une desdites configurations d'engrènement progressives, au moins une zone fermée entre des dents de piège de fluide respectives est définie dans au moins une section transversale des engrenages. La zone fermée diminue jusqu'à ce qu'elle soit sensiblement supprimée au niveau et au voisinage d'au moins une autre configuration d'engrènement progressive séparée entre les dents coopérantes respectives mentionnées ci-dessus.
