An improved telescopic gunsight and reticle for long-range shooting is provided. The reticle (18) can be used with any conventional telescopic gun-sight as an optically transparent wafer or disc (19) thus having an optical center (21) which coincides with a center of field of vision when the reticle is mounted in a telescopic gunsight. The reticle includes a primary vertical cross-hair (20) having a predetermined thickness intersecting the optical center of the wafer, a primary horizontal cross-hair (22) having a predetermined thickness intersecting the primary vertical cross-hair (20), a plurality of secondary vertical cross-hairs (26) having a predetermined thickness evenly spaced along at least some of said secondary vertical cross-hairs (24) and a range-finding means (30) positioned in one of the quadrants formed by the intersection of the primary vertical (32) and horizontal cross-hairs (34).

Cette invention concerne une lunette de visée télescopique améliorée et un réticule pour le tir à longue portée. Le réticule (18) convient pour toute lunette de visée télescopique classique, se présente sous la forme d'une tranche ou d'un disque transparents (19) dont le centre optique coïncide avec le centre d'un champ de vision lorsque ledit réticule est monté dans une lunette télescopique. Ce réticule se compose des éléments suivants: trait vertical principal (20) d'une épaisseur prédéterminée qui coupe le centre optique de la tranche, trait horizontal principal (22) d'une épaisseur prédéterminée, coupant le trait vertical principal, pluralité de traits verticaux secondaires (26) d'une épaisseur prédéterminée, équidistants et coupant au moins quelques uns des traits verticaux secondaires (24), et un moyen de télémétrie (30) situé dans l'un des quarts de cercle définis par l'intersection des traits verticaux (32) et horizontaux (34) principaux.
