A sorber heat exchanger is provided with a substrate material incorporating a sorbent for reacting with a polar gas refrigerant or hydrogen. A preferred sorbent is a metal salt capable of reacting with the polar gas refrigerant to form a complex compound. The sorbent incorporating substrate is loaded into the reactor space between the heat transfer surfaces. Incorporating the sorbent into the substrate reduces sorbent migration thereby improving performance and life expectancy of the heat exchanger.
La présente invention concerne un échangeur thermique à sorbeur pourvu d'un matériau de substrat incorporant un sorbant devant entrer en réaction avec un réfrigérant à gaz polaire ou l'hydrogène. L'un des sorbants préférés est un sel de métal capable de réagir avec le réfrigérant à gaz polaire de façon à former un composé de coordination. On charge le substrat incorporant le sorbant dans le volume du réacteur défini entre les surfaces de transfert thermique. En incorporant le sorbant dans le substrat, on arrive à réduire la migration de sorbant, et donc à améliorer le rendement et la durée de vie attendue de l'échangeur thermique.
