A shower system (12) comprising a header (40) having a fluid inlet port (46) a plurality of substantially vertically (27) arranged spray nozzles (28a, 28b, 28c, 28d, 28e, 28f) attached consecutively to said header (40) and arranged in a substantially arcuate formation (A), and a drive system (36) for laterally reciprocating said header (40). The system is used to clean screen surfaces of a screening apparatus.
