An improved landscape fabric is disclosed consisting of a sheet of thermoplastic material in which a plurality of alternating hollow ridges and valleys are formed. Each of the ridges is defined by a pair of upright sidewalls and an interconnecting top. A plurality of spaced apertures are formed through each of the upright walls at its juncture with an adjacent valley, being disposed to permit the flow of water and air therethrough to the underside of the sheet while inhibiting the passage of light therethrough. The improved fabric has extensibility and flexibility during installation, permitting it to conform to the area to be covered without having to be fabric itself.

Cette invention concerne une mebrane améliorée servant aux travaux d'aménagement paysager et se présentant sous la forme d'une feuille de matériau thermoplastique ondulé, c'est-à-dire présentant une série de crêtes et de creux alternés. Chacune des crêtes est définie par une paire de parois verticales et un sommet. Chacune des parois verticales comporte le long de son point de rencontre avec le fond du creux adjacent une série d'ouvertures espacées dont le rôle est de permettre l'écoulement de l'eau et de l'air sous la membrane tout en s'opposant au passage de la lumière. L'objet de l'invention est extensible et souple à l'installation, ce qui lui permet d'épouser la forme de terrain à couvrir.
