The object of the invention is a lightweight container in which improvements have been introduced which consist in providing means that enable it to withstand the vertical efforts resulting from the stacking of several containers to form a pile, said means comprising ample seats on two of its opposite sides, said sides being fitted with double partitions which provide the container with a high degree of strength.
