An improved locking pin (10) for locking together two pieces of equipment (12, 14) through aligned locking apertures (16, 18). The pin comprises a steel casing (20), a steel insert (22) and an elastomer member (24). The two steel parts assemble together in a particular sequence and are adjusted so that when completely assembled, the insert (22) is locked into the casing (20) with the body of the casing (20) and the insert (22) being parallel and spaced from one another. The elastomer member (24) is interposed in the space defined between the casing and insert, and fills the space between the steel parts. The assembled steel parts are firmly locked together by introduction of the elastomer member (24) into that the space. There is no adhesive joining the steel and elastomer members which makes the pin more amenable for use in corrosive environments and also eases manufacture of the pin components. A tightly constructed locking pin also avoids the problems of the components becoming loose or lost.
L'invention concerne une broche de verrouillage améliorée (10) destinée à réunir par verrouillage deux éléments de matériel (12, 14) par des ouvertures de verrouillage alignées (16, 18). La broche comprend un revêtement d'acier (20), une pièce rapportée en acier (22) et un élément en élastomère (24). Les deux parties en acier sont réunies dans une séquence particulière et sont ajustées de sorte que lorsqu'elles sont entièrement réunies, la pièce rapportée (22) est bloquée dans le revêtement (20), le corps du revêtement (20) et la pièce rapportée (22) étant parallèles et espacés l'un de l'autre. L'élément en élastomère (24) est intercalé dans l'espace défini entre le revêtement et la pièce rapportée et remplit l'espace entre les parties en acier. On réunit fermement par verrouillage les parties en acier assemblées par introduction de l'élément en élastomère (24) dans cet espace. Les éléments en acier et en élastomère ne sont pas réunis par un adhésif, ce qui rend l'utilisation de la broche plus appropriée dans des environnements corrosifs et facilite également la fabrication des composants de la broche. Une broche de verrouillage à structure serrée permet aussi d'éviter les problèmes de desserrement ou de perte des composants.
