A log conveyor having first and second rigid stair units mounted at an incline on a support structure. Each stair unit has a plurality of risers and treads in series and the riser of one unit overlaps and is interleaved with the risers of the other unit. The stair units are mounted on the support structure by links and the units reciprocate in an arc on the inclined path. The arcs are of the same radius and off-set from one another. The stair units are connected to a linkage that is connected to a power driven crank arm. The linkage pivots are located so that the stair units are synchronized to move 180 degrees out of phase.
