An improved method for controlling infestations of flies on an animal wherein a solution of an ectoparasiticide is applied to the skin or coat of the animal comprises increasing the concentration of the ectoparasiticide to about 3 % to about 90 % of the composition and proportionately reducing the volume of the solution administered to the animal such that the animal receives the same amount of the ectoparasiticide as it would have received prior to the concentration of the solution.
L'invention a pour objet un procédé amélioré pour lutter contre les infestations de mouches sur un animal. Selon ce procédé, une solution d'un ectoparasiticide est appliquée à la peau ou au pelage d'un animal. On augmente la concentration de l'ectoparasiticide jusqu'à ce qu'il représente environ 3 à environ 90 % de la composition, et on réduit proportionnellement le volume de la solution administrée à l'animal, de telle sorte que ce dernier reçoive la même quantité d'ectoparasiticide qu'il n'en aurait reçu avant la concentration de ladite solution.
