The invention relates to a method for producing 2-halopyridine-n-oxide by reacting 2-halopyridine with hydrogen peroxide in aqueous solution in the presence of an acid anhydride as the catalyst. According to the invention, an anhydride of formula (I) is used as a catalyst. The aromatic rings can be substituted with alkyl groups or halogens or anellated with another aromatic ring.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production de N-oxyde de 2-halopyridine. Ce procédé consiste à faire réagir la 2-halopyridine avec du peroxyde d'oxygène en solution aqueuse en présence d'un anhydre d'acide servant de catalyseur. Selon ce procédé, on utilise comme catalyseur un anhydride de formule (I), les noyaux aromatiques pouvant être substitués par des groupes alkyle ou des halogènes ou condensés avec un autre atome aromatique.
