The present invention is directed to methods of preparing high punt polyalkylene oxide carboxylic acids. The methods include reacting a polyalkylene oxide such as polyethylene glycol with a t-butyl haloacetate in the presence of a base followed by treatment with an acid such as trifluoroacetic acid. The resultant polymer carboxylic acids are of sufficient purity so that expensive and time consuming purification steps required for pharmaceutical grade polymers are avoided.
L'invention porte sur des méthodes de préparation d'acides carboxyliques de poly(oxyde d'alkylène), par réaction de polyéthylèneglycol avec un haloacétate de t-butyle en présence d'une base, suivie d'un traitement par un acide, comme l'acide trifluoroacétique. Les acides carboxyliques polymériques obtenus sont assez purs pour éviter les étapes de purification, coûteuses en temps et en argent, nécessaires dans le cas des polymères de qualité pharmaceutique.
