A surface polishing machine (10) for polishing a workpiece (22), including a body member (18) adapted to be positioned adjacent the workpiece (22) and having first and second pivot means (44, 46), a pair of polishing arms (14, 16), each pivotable on a pivot means, each arm having a first end (24, 26) adapted to receive a surface grinding means (34) and a second end (28, 30), an actuating means (66, 68) connected to the respective second ends of the first and second polishing arms (14, 16) for moving the arms about the first and second pivot means (44, 46) from positions adjacently spaced from the workpiece to respective treatment positions thereby producing a grinding pressure at the surface grinding means (34), a rolling support member (78) for pivotably supporting and horizontally transferring the surface polishing tool to predetermined polishing positions, a base (88) supporting the rolling support member, and being movable with respect to the workpiece (22) along an axis, the base (88) including at least one guideway (128, 130) extending through the base and a support table (132) including at least one flanged support rail (135, 137) configured to cooperatively mate and slidingly engage with the at least one guideway (128, 130) to provide linear positioning of said base (88).
L'invention concerne une machine de surfaçage (10) qui permet de polir une pièce (22). La machine comprend un élément corps (18), conçu pour être positionné à proximité de la pièce (22), qui comprend un premier et un second système pivot (44, 46), et une paire de bras de polissage (14, 16), dont chacun peut pivoter sur un système pivot et présente une première extrémité (24, 26), conçue pour recevoir un système de surfaçage (34), et une seconde extrémité (28, 30); un système d'actionnement (66, 68), relié aux secondes extrémités correspondantes du premier et du second bras de polissage (14, 16), qui déplace lesdits bras autour du premier et du second système pivot (44, 46) depuis des positions éloignées de la pièce jusqu'à des positions de traitement, de façon à produire une pression de meulage au niveau du système de surfaçage (34); un élément support roulant (78), qui supporte pivotant l'outil de surfaçage et le transfère horizontalement à des positions de polissage prédéterminées; une base (88), qui supporte l'élément support roulant et peut se déplacer par rapport à la pièce (22) le long d'un axe, et qui comporte au moins un guide (128, 130) la traversant et une table support (132) constituée d'au moins un rail support (135, 137) à flasque, configuré pour coopérer par appariement et entrer en contact coulissant avec au moins un guide (128, 130), de façon à permettre le positionnement linéaire de ladite base (88).
