An improved phase reference generator for use in resistance welding, and a method and system for estimating a driving point voltage of a resistance weld system. The method includes the steps of creating a volt-time area of the observed voltage, a current-time area of the observed current, a current- difference-time area of the observed current, an estimated line resistance, and an estimated line reactance of the system, and using them for creating a driving point voltage area or waveform. The estimated driving point voltage time area is used to drive the firing of a thyristor. The system includes circuitry for implementing the method for a resistance weld control.
L'invention porte sur un générateur de référence de phase amélioré destiné à être utilisé dans le soudage par résistance et sur un procédé et un système d'estimation d'une tension du point d'application d'un système de soudage par résistance. Le procédé consiste notamment à créer une zone tension-temps de la tension observée, une zone courant-temps du courant observé, une zone courant-différence-temps du courant observé, une résistance de ligne estimée et une réactance de ligne estimée du système et à les utiliser pour créer une zone de tension du point d'application ou une forme d'onde. La zone temporelle de tension du point d'application estimée est utilisée pour commander le déclenchement d'un thyristor. Le système comprend des circuits permettant de mettre en oeuvre ledit procédé à des fins de commande du soudage par résistance.
