An improved pigment spacing composition and method of manufacture. The method comprises dispersing a plurality of titanium dioxide particles in a first dispersion medium, preparing a nanoparticle pigment and mixing the nanoparticle pigment and the dispersion of titanium dioxide. A coating composition wherein the pigment particles are spaced more uniformly resulting in improved coating properties. In another embodiment, the present invention relates to a composition having nanoparticles interacting with pigmentary titanium dioxide to provide for more uniform spacing of the titanium dioxide.
L'invention concerne une composition d'espacement de pigment améliorée ainsi qu'un procédé de fabrication associé. Une composition de revêtement dans laquelle les particules de pigments sont plus uniformément espacées permet d'obtenir des propriétés de revêtement améliorées. Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l'invention, une composition contient des nanoparticules qui interagissent avec du dioxyde de titane pigmentaire pour conférer à ce dernier un espacement plus uniforme.
