A laminar pigment which has an aluminum- or an aluminum-cerium oxide coating combined with a hydrolyzed silane coupling agent treated surface is used as a pigment for a powder coating composition. By combining the pigment with a powdery film-forming polymer, a film- forming composition which can be applied by electrostatic coating is produced.

L'invention concerne un pigment laminaire comprenant un revêtement d'oxyde d'aluminium ou d'aluminium-cérium combiné avec une surface traitée à l'aide d'un agent de couplage de type silane hydrolysé, utilisé comme pigment dans une composition de revêtement en poudre. La combinaison du pigment avec un polymère filmogène en poudre permet d'obtenir une composition filmogène pouvant être appliquée par revêtement électrostatique.
