L'invention concerne le revêtement d'un substrat notamment en verre, par le procédé selon lequel une buse de distribution se terminant par une fente, projette sur ledit substrat chaud, un courant gazeux mélangé avec un produit pulvérulent qui se décompose à la chaleur et en particulier au contact du substrat chaud pour y former une couche mince de revêtement. L'invention propose de refroidir la zone de revêtement au voisinage du jet de produit issu de la buse pour éviter sa décomposition et d'aspirer directement les produits pulvérulents non immédiatement captés par le substrat. Elle propose également un dispositif. L'invention permet de fabriquer du substrat en verre revêtu sans voile.
