The present invention relates to a process for applying optical brightening agent (OBA) to a sheet of paper or paperboard substrate. The process comprises applying the cooked composition comprising a powdered optical brightener to at least one surface of a paper or paperboard substrate at the size press in a paper or paperboard manufacturing process to form a sized paper or paperboard substrate; and drying the sized paper or paperboard substrate to form a dried sized paper or paperboard substrate.

La présente invention concerne un processus d'application d'un agent d'avivage optique (OBA) à une feuille de substrat papier ou carton. Le processus consiste à appliquer la composition cuite comprenant un agent d'avivage optique réduit en poudre sur au moins une surface d'un substrat papier ou carton à la presse encolleuse dans un processus de fabrication de papier ou carton pour constituer un substrat papier ou carton dimensionné; et à sécher le substrat papier ou carton dimensionné pour constituer un substrat papier ou carton dimensionné séché.
