A plastic film screen protector that prevents interference patterns from arising when the film touches the screen is described. The advantages are accomplished by the film having a slightly roughened surface so that the majority of the film facing an electronic device screen does not substantially touch the screen. These physical aberrations prevent Newton ring interference patterns and spots caused by refractive index difference between air and the film material.

L'invention concerne un protecteur d'écran sous forme de film plastique, qui empêche la formation de motifs d'interférences quand le film est en contact avec l'écran. Pour ce faire, le film présente une surface légèrement rugueuse de sorte que la majeure partie du film mis en place sur un écran de dispositif électronique ne touche pratiquement pas l'écran. Ces aberrations physiques permettent de prévenir la formation de motifs d'interférences d'anneaux de Newton et de taches dues aux différences des indices de réfraction entre l'air et la matière du film.
