The present invention provides for a method of updating an internet search engine database with the results of a user's selection of specific web page listings from the general web page listing provided to the user as a result of his initial keyword search entry. By updating the database with the selections of many different users, the database can be updated to prioritize those web listings that have been selected the most with respect to a given keyword, and thereby presenting first the most popular web page listings in a subsequent search using the same keyword search entry.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de mise à jour de la base de données d'un moteur de recherche Internet, les résultats de la sélection des listages de pages WEB spécifiques effectuée par un utilisateur à partir du listage général de pages Web lui étant présentés comme résultat de l'entrée de sa recherche initiale par mot clé. En mettant à jour la base de données avec les sélections des différents utilisateurs, on peut mettre à jour cette base de données de manière à privilégier les listages sélectionnés avec le plus de considération pour un mot clef donné, permettant ainsi de présenter en premier, dans une recherche ultérieure, les listages de pages WEB les plus prisés, en utilisant la même entrée de recherche par mot clé.
